AHHH a Lens Flare kill it!!! kill it!!! just kidding :)
this character looks like alot of fun, something you'll see in a kids cartoon, or book....
if this is a final pic increase the res on the ground texture and work a bit on the blur, as the character in the sombrero, get's kinda lost in it...
also since the monkey is nakid :) ever thought of a hairy alternative?
nice keep it up and post changes...

agree with lildragon, nice toon view
don't use this flare, and this light under the sombrero....hmmm
use 1 light and use the environment / i mean the sky /in the GL options of vray. And decrease the GL multiplier.Use small parameters for preview and for final put it on 10-18/this is for the direct computation-the pure radiosity/
if you want put some toony look grass around.
keep and show it here after

cheers for the crits guys , but I was only messin around cos i was bored , Ive got a funny animation planned for the two of them ( it involves a strange game of tennis ) where I will put a whole loada work into it . I tried using fur and for the monkey , but it took too long to render and lost the effect i was looking for .
Im still stumped about what to do for the facial animation cos I tried using morphs with the heads detached but max still goes into meltdown .
ill fire into the animation soon and keep you guys posted

i think you could reduce the light bloom, and remove the
lens. the rest is very good.

A couple of new images of Chunney in the tennis court .
there both done with Vray but they aint full GI as you can see as it took tooooo bloody long to render. Dont let the innocent face fool you as he is an evil little punk  .

I like it alot. Too much blur though, hard on the eyes and dosnt let you see your great work properly.
PS. lens flare is the work of satan.
