ambassador 01-31-2002, 08:57 AM Orangutan model wip,
Just about finished with the head, I applyed simple fur to make sure the forms read clearly, and there are no intersections, but the real fur design will not start untill i am complete with the whole model.

Wicked model! Of course you can't go wrong with an orangutan. They are always my favorite animal to watch at the zoo. They all love putting on a show. Crazy monkeys... ...gotta love em.

hmm I like it. what rendersettings did you use? is it radiosity enabled with a yellowish light pointing at the head? or am I totally wrong? and what about luminosity on the surface?
I'm asking as I like your style of rendering things.. I'm just curious what settings you use exactly...
of course if you don't want to answer this it's ok ;)

My Brotha'. :) Really great start on the model. What's the story behind the implant looking doodads? (or did I just miss those during the nature show?)

Thanks all
JoBdE, theres no lights in the scene, It just uses radiosity with the BG color luminosity. The surface uses a luminosity channel at an indecent angle so it lights the edges a bit, giving a slight lit look.
When its complete I will Paint all the surfaces, and do the fur design:)
