My opinion is that you should get some webspace somewhere and link a larger image. Many things look realistic at that resolution.

Due to the enormous amunt of space it would take with all the content posted here attached images are limited to 20kb. Maybe the hi-rez image you saw was a linked inline image and therefore stored on someone else's website.

I think that it looks great just as it is. Its just those squares that are kinda distracting.
