Hi everyone! This is my finished work, Chinese NanChang Q-5 attacker. This beautiful old warbird was designed in 1960s. Hope you would like my work and give me your comments, thank you:)

The images below are all the parts of three huge renders(A4, 300dpi). I'll post the full renders with smaller size later.

I can see you spent a lot of time on those textures as well as the model itself. Can you post the complete images soon ? :)

Beautifully done! The texturing is perfect on the plane. The pilot appears to be lacking the same attention to detail tho. :)

Overall - this is an extremely photo-realistic peice - nice work!!

its okay. the lighting discredits it, and some areas of the modelling seem a bit bland.

I think the lighting is great. The textures are excellent. What did you use to texture? I want to be able to texture like that.

Great Job

heyy that looks fantastic, apart from one thing, imo it looks too flat, not enough bump for the panels

Thanks for all the comments!

I agree that the bump map should be improved:). Maybe the work of drawing textures tired me too badly, or I'm too idle:blush:

Kiwi123, I can not post those whole big images until the book which named "Combat Zone" is published:)

Bartosz_Milicja, I have no airplane texture tutorials now
:hmm:

Songbird,

I didn't mean the full res big pictures, just the image, on a normal size :) I just want to see what the composition looks like, instead of just seeing close-ups.

These scenes were rendered by Brazil:) Before I began to do this work, I have decided to just build some still scenes, no animation. So both the models and texture maps do not adapt to animation:hmm:

Very nice work indeed  , I would've loved to see an animation of it but I would imagine it would take some time to render.

Bartosz_Milicja: I can think of one plane texturing tutorial for 3dsmax, made by Skyraider: http://home.wanadoo.nl/r.j.o/skyraider/tut_texturemapping.htm

If it's anything like his planes then it should be a good tutorial too. :)

This book, 'Combat Zone', does it feature any more of your work?
Assuming the Q-5 will be in it

No, actually it is a magazine. I think Songbird's Q-5 will be the front page of this issue.

Could you show them again, please? :D

It's a mystery to me why you didn't get a very fat CGTalk award for these. Stunning work!!!
