lightwave dvds at my local bookstore?

I don't think you'll find those kind of items at a local bookstore soon.

Around my neck of the woods it's even rare to find anything 3D related in bookstores.

Don't you have some kind of speciality store (like your LW vendor) through whom you could get these kinda DVD's?

nope....I have the college bookstore but even they dont carry dvds (training that is).

It's an idea I've already looked into. But it's a difficult one. You need to work directly with their distributors, get UPC codes, etc. It's big task really.

So, what I have done it put a little more than 5 hours of 3D Garage videos on the DVD that comes with my soon to be released "Inside LightWave 8." This will be out at the end of June. It's 984 pages.

That will do...I have your lightwave 7.5 book. And it has helped me tremendously. But I would love to see some dvds at my local bookstore

Another inherit problem with getting specialty DVDs through a local bookstore would be the final shelf price. These discs don't exactly fly off the shelves and aren't pressed in vast numbers so by the time the reseller marks them up and to make it worth their while those DVDs will be pretty to look at but cost an arm and a leg to take them out of the store. Best bet is to purchase the DVDs on-line directly through the publisher and more often than not you'll get a good deal.

Why not send a Money Order for the DVD's/CD's?

I am sure you can work something out with Dan or SplineGod...I know SplineGod has been pretty flexible with people in the past. Just fire off an email to him.
