R&H always does great work and Weta seems to be a great company for this one. I'm sure it'll get the same care that LOTR did.
pretty sure we don't have to worry about live action humans...at least i wouldn't think so...i hope :)
really am looking forward to this tho, its an incredible set of stories. wasn't there some sort of animated version done quite a while ago? i seem to remember something from my childhood but i'm not positive...

I think there was a cartoon made long ago...but it was kinda garbage.
PBS or Disney Channel or maybe it was the BBC did a 8 episode mini series on the Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe. It was done with animitronic animals and was actually quite fun to watch!!
Yep...i found it on Amazon:

Andrew Adamson, director of Shrek, no?
Interesting combination. Adamson and Weta.

Here are some links to the DVDs of the BBC mini-series:
BBC Chronicles of Narnia Box Set (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000069CFH/qid=1086976152/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/002-3866829-9916004?v=glance&s=dvd)
and the individual DVDs

And, yes, Adamson co-directed Shrek & Shrek 2. I hope the directing skills translate from animation to live-action.
