Hey I need help with something, I have a missle flying around a twisting path, and right now, the front always points the same direction. What I need to know is, how do I make the front of it rotate automatically to point in the direction it is flying, I'm certain that there is a way to do this in max, because I have seen it done in lightwave before

If you're using Path constraint for the animation then there's a checkbox for "follow" that does it.

no, there is no path constraint, it is just a simple position animation. i just want the nose of the rocket to rotate automatically so that it points in the direction it is flying and i cant figure out how to do it

You should have animated it with path constraints.

Now either you can manually animate the nose.
or
Do this to convert your animation to a path controlled animation:

1. Select your object.
2. Go to Motion Command panel
3. Click on Trajectories button
4. Click on "Convert To" under spline conversion.
5. This will make a spline for your animated path.
6. Delete all the keys for the object
7. Click on parameters button in motion command panel
8. Under Assign Controller rollout select positon track.
9. Click on assign controller button
10. Select path constraint
11. Click on Add path
12. Select the spline.
13. Put a check mark on "follow" option.
