Hallo everyone!
It’s such a shame that I’ve noticed this contest so late! Maybe the concept idea could have been better if I had the time to think it over.
Here are some sketches of the composition and most important spots. Would be very glad to hear your opinion!
The main idea is that this girl has some kind of life-form connected to her heart, and she was ordered to take it to the Lab safely, but she suddenly has been spoted by people who hunt this life-form…

interesting idea. I'll look forward to seeing where this goes in the time allowed. That is a large chunk of her abdomen being taken up by the "organism"...how does she survive without all her other organs?

Thanks for the kind reply!

Actually she's half android and her internal has been minimized and optimized, so she does not need that much space as a normal human does.:)

Lordero: Man! You are sure a great experimenter, I love the backgrounds! Keep up the good work and thanks a lot for your reply!

Just trying to find a more expressive foreshortening and pose.
Here is a little more of the background story:
From the first sight it seems that the end of this step from the skyscraper would fatal, but… the organism inside this girl’s body has the ability to regenerate the human flash, and the “hunters” don’t have any idea about that, they only know that it’s a very unique form of life… ^___^
Want some more? ;)

Here’s my line work, it’s a little massy but I think that the color will “fix” it.
I finally found the right composition and I like her face much more now.
What do YOU think? Should I get rid of something or add something? I really need your critique now, please!

You have a great comicbook style. the line art looks great but I think that you could rise her right elbow to show that she's going forward and she's preparing to take off. Again, the sketch is great, and I really hope you have the time to finish this piece.
 Go on!

Looking nice, but be careful not to loose her left foot.........the hi-lights on the right calf are starting to push that in front of the other. Just a thought.

To Paul Davidson: What do you mean _loose_, does it differ much from the other one or something else? Maybe you are right about the calf, I have made it a little bit darker.
Thanks for your remarks and good luck!

To techart: I?m glad you like it! ^___^

To Mr Freeman: Thank you very much, I tried my best! It took me: 3 hours on the evening for 6 days + one weekend (8+8) = about 34 hours

Wow. I just picked up on the similarities between your piece and mine, the window into the body where you can see the inner mechanical workings or alien life form in your case. It is funny how we can set off on what we think is an original path only to find that we are sharing some common concept.

Well done.

Great Piece! Beautiful Woman ;} and Great job focusing on her....I just love it when people accurately portray that zoom effect that our eyes have when looking at someone. Good Luck!

Thanks a lot for the warm comment! *^___^*
Unfortunately I did not manage to place more details as YOU did in your great work,
and I don't really like her face (I planed it to be more realistic),
but I sure DO love that zoom effect on the wires :)
Good luck to you too!

Squibbit
07-14-2004, 07:18 AM
not to worry , you can do a more realistic face in the next challenge ,
you are gonna take part in it , aren't you ?

Besides , it did attract those two aliens to your thread , hehe

just kidding , the face looks sweet enough :)

Nata
07-14-2004, 09:31 AM
to Squibbit: Thank you! I will take part in the next challenge if I find it
interesting for me, and this time I'll be in from the start!
By the way your work is very amazing, I like the sky, the sea and the whales,
but IMHO the bushes and the grass are too acid-colored and attract too much attention...
Oh, who cares now, sorry that my critiques are too late :banghead:

Squibbit
07-14-2004, 09:42 AM
lol , thanks and don't take it so hard , your critique will be on time in
the next contest and while you were late for this pic , i might remember
your advice in other pics to come :)
