Is there any way to avoid a bone stretching when rotated?

I just got this strange problem happening when i rotate the finger joints of a hand rig i was setting up. I did the same rig before a while ago but this problem never appeared, was wondering if anyone here might have an idea to why this is happening :shrug:

I ran into this problem in Max 5, but it turned out to be a bug. :banghead: There doesn't seem to any work arounds either.

i asked around, the problem was that i used uniform scale to resized the bones instead of using bone tool's bone edit mode.

To fix the problem, simply check that right click on uniform scale and check if all the absolute values are at 100. Solved my problem!
