View Full Version : A remake of an old character ...
I saw a thread (don't know where it went now) which had some mischevious aliens making crop circles in a field, and it reminded me of this character that I made in 1999. So, I dug through my sketchbooks, found the original and redesigned him.
This guy is a sort of MIB character. He defends the earth and it's moon from hoodlum aliens who come to our area of the solar system for things like ... cattle mutilations, anal probing, trailor park abductions and crop circles (the intergalactic graffiti).
I had a whole Warner Bros. type storyboard done ... with the intent on making a 3D film. I guess I should dig that out too and get back to work on it ...
hmmmm, so many ideas - so little time.

Cool! "Men in Latex"
Think I prefer a female cast.
Great work Kirt!
Hmmmm ... chicks in latex. I may have to seriously consider a sex change for him now.
Here's what he used to look like.
I'm sure I have a background image somewhere too.
*begins to search harddrive*
Found it ...
This is a shot of the interior of the UFO (and the same character again ... sorry, I couldn't find an image of just the background). The int. shot was colored with a mouse and was one of my first Photoshop colored images. Can't say that I've improved much, huh?
Anyway, I'm pimping some really old images ... pretty sad. What do you think of the idea? Good for a short? Too much like MIB to bother? Don't quit my day job?
A little snip here - a little tuck there ... and viola! What do you think?

SUPERCOOL!
Maybe they can team up...
"People In Latex" or in short: "PIL"
Well, thanks jeroentje ... the original idea for the character was to be a lone border patrol-type guy. I drew the girl just to see if it would generate any responses in this thread (we know how this board loves to see hot babes!).
Anyway ... back to the drawing board. I think the lack of interest here tells me that the idea is a "yawn-er" at best.

Well, even a loner must have something to do after work ;)
It's a good idea, put them together in a new piece if you're going to do something anyway... (No, not like that dammit)
cheers, J
edit - and it's a bit quiet here any way. It's holiday season...

Kirt,
I wouldn't be so quick to write it off, these are good. Who knows maybe they are a duo? In my short online experience I've found that all Forums tend to generate lot'sa looks but not enough crit/suggestions/response. I guess it's the nature of the beast.
This does not mean the work is not worthy of pursuing.
You have great drawing skills, and create fun characters:applause:
Holiday season? Really? No one told me ... what holiday are we celebrating? :bounce:
I decided to keep working on it ... basically because I have nothing else going on right now. Below is a redesign of my troublesome alien. Think Bugs Bunny gone bad - really bad! I'm not even going to post up my original design on this one, because it totally sucked and I'm embarrassed that I actually kept it in my sketchbook.
Needless to say, the alien looked NOTHING like the one pictured below.

"You know Bugs Bunny... when he dresses like a girl... Do you thinks he's sexy then?"
From Wayns World.
:bounce: go Kirt! :bounce: go Kirt! :bounce: go Kirt
Great Sketch!
OK, last one for now. I'm going to work on cleaning these up a bit and maybe some color designs for all characters. The props were quickly fudged together. So I know that I need to work on these a bit more (form follows function).
I'll be back with these characters later ... gotta finish my WIP challenge too.
