I'm using AE vesion 5.0. -can't seem to figure out how to fade one clip into another. i looked in the help files and everything. it just says you can do it, just not how really. it's like they avoid the question. hahah.
any suggestions?

In the timeline Layer -> Transform -> Opacity. Lower it over a timefram of 1 second from 100 to 0% while at the same time increasing another Layers opacity from 0 to 100%.
