hello

I'm getting into the idea of making my own little toys to put onto my desk. Heres a little robot toy Ive done in max 5, no texture map. Hope you like it. Ive animated it so ill post that at a later date.

looks cool, i'm not sure about the shadowm doesn't seem right.

Also......you really need to clean your keyboard someday :D

Looks really cool, would make a nice animation. I agree on the shadow though, should be softer, it looks like you applied a motion blur filter in photoshop and the "lines" in the shadow make it a little less beleiveable. All in all great work! How about a wire?:buttrock: :surprised

have you got a 10 foot monitor or something your resolution is huge!

I agree about the lighting comments, I was having problems with area shadows, they seemed to be causing a really gritty noisey shadow. So the shadow is et as a shadow map, with soften edges pretty high. Its the first time i've composited something into a photograph and it is pretty tricky getting the shadows matching perfectly.

it's a very interesting robot. I like it very much, but I can't say the same about the pic and the final composition.

Theres a lot of noise in the pic and no noise in the robot - but if they're the some shot something's wrong ! Noise on pic and robot or just no noise in both.

I think you can adjust the robot shadows too.

About the model I have nothing to say, it's very cool to me
