Hi,
I recently purchased a Nisis A6 Tablet and have become increasingly aware of a wobbly line effect on diagonal lines even when using a ruler.(vertical and horizontal are perfect)
The Nisis tech support told me to check the web site FAQ but that just mentions radio interference as a possibility, I have tried it on various computers at various locations ,to no avail.

I have fully updated drivers,
Brand new batteries,
and tried a new spare stylus but still the wobble persists.
I have tried it with Painter 8 and Photoshop 7 and Mspaint.

I realise that Nisis tablets are budget but I cant recall the problem being so bad in the past. Has anyone here encountered problems of a similar nature ,and can offer some advice to help me out??

Thanks,
John

This may sound dumb, but it's the only slight idea I have...

you said the guy mentioned radio interference and you have tried it at several different computers... but when you tried it, how close to the monitor did you have it?

if you haven't already, keep it AS far away from the monitor as possible...because I had a similar problem but it was because it was a little too close to my monitor.

really hope this helps...

Thanks for the response jedijrmax, I already tried sitting as far from the monitor as possible (about 2 metres), Ive also tried it out on my laptop. Whilst the effect was more subtle I put this down to the lower res of the laptop.

I find it odd that its only occuring on diagonals as if it was interference the cursor would oscillate on any path surely?

thanks,
John

I really wish I could help you out better. I really am not sure how to solve your problem, nor do I have any idea what is causing it.

I'm just trying to think... I'm sure you have, but installed/reinstalled the drivers for the tablet? or possibly checked for updates on the main site?

And also made sure that all the software settings for it were at the default? I know you can do some crazy things with setting different spaces and ratios etc.... so ....

try those things and check them out?

If not, have you called or inquired about them sending you a new one?

I mean, telling you to check out a FAQ section on a site when the hardware just isn't working... really isn't acceptable. Granted, that's what I probably would've told you first too, just to make sure it wasn't something obvious, but if you are still having problems you should really talk to them again.

Hey, i'm new to the forums, but I also have a NISIS G6, and the occillating problem happens to me too.. VERY annoying.

also another problem, you write on the pad then let go and the cursor will shoot to the top left corner.. VERY annoying too..
