Hey Everyone-

Okay I am using Lightwave 3D 8.0 to start with and I am looking to create a plush like texture for a stuffed palatypus I have modeled. Anyone have any ideas on how I could create a texture that looks similar to the image on the following link: HERE (http://bequfa.tripod.com/24150.jpg)

I have been messing around for hours and haven't come up with anything I really like and I have done several searches online for some info and haven't come up with anything. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

I think you need either to use a fur generator, that allows you to break the flow, get that close-cropped nappiness. Or take a photo of a stuffed animal and use that. Or try to creat e procedural that mimics that flow-breakage. Might help to toss in a little bit of an incidence ingredient (a Falloff map in 3ds max, not sure what it is in LW) to gather light at the edges of the contours.
