View Full Version : Cebas IP-clamp usage

Is there a way to use IP clamp with a license file on BOTH a desktop at home, then on my laptop on the road? I'm going on the road for a few weeks and would like to do some finalshaders experimentation. It seems like it kind-of locks you into a specific IP address when you install the above (ie. my desktop). The only way I found to change it is to reinstall. If I set up IP clamp on both laptop and desktop and use my lic file on both, will there be any errors? I have a 12 CPU lic....

IP clamp is "clamped" to the network card of the PC it is installed on. So if you want to work on the Laptop you should install it there and plug it to the network, when you are working on your PC, so your desktop Max installation has access to the lic.

for authorisation fS, the serial you got from Cebas is transmitted togethere with a "hardwareID" of your Network card. Just installing IPclamp on both isn't working, because you can't auth fS on both with only one serial (actually this is the idea of a protection system)

Your problem is,that your IPclamp is already installed and authorised on the PC, right? so this is a problem.

Maybe a very nice email to edwin braun (register@cebas.de)
will give you a new serial.
