View Full Version : Dual Monitor Resolution
Maven 06-07-2004, 12:57 PM I have a dual monitor setup and I have both set at 1280x1024 but one of the monitors looks like it's at a different rez.
I can't figure it out. If I spread out a explorer window across both it lines up at the top and bottom of the monitors, telling me that the rez is the same but everything looks smaller on the right one.
I have a Nvidia Quadro FX 3000, with identical Dell Trinitron 21" monitors on WinXP SP1.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Have you tried taking a screenshot and pasting it in a paint package? You'll know for sure then cos the larger res screen should cause a black bar to appear below the smaller res screen.

it sounds daft, but im sure that altering the refresh rate can alter the size slightly?

Are you sure you don't have one at 1280x1024 and the other at 1280x960?
Are they the same screen model? the do vary, expacially if you have a TFT, because they often have a different aspect.
