I wasn't quite sure where to post this but.. A few years ago while at school I came across an interesting app for the mac that was a special kind of modeling program. It wasn't one of the well known apps, and it wasn't your normal modeling app. From what I remember, it used mathmatics and geometric shapes to make these very intricate, abstract, and detailed 3d images (not fractals). I remember it was targeted more at schools and kids. I remember they also sold large prints of some of the designs they made in the program. It was very neat stuff

For the life of me I cannot find it on the net nor do I remember the name. It was just some little program, er.. gem, I found on the internet one day and would sure like to find it. I am hoping someone here might know what I am talking about, if its still around.:hmm:

No, its not any of the big name programs. Like I said, this program emphisised mathematics and some other things and was directed more towards children. I think it was being developed by teachers IIRC. So its not a "3d modeling program" per se. Sorry to be so vague, but it was a very specific program.

nah.. hmm.. From what I remember, one of the images was sort of like lots of squares binded together in a sortta Escher looking floating town. Like it could mathematically take these squares and arrange them abstractly. It made for some of the coolest picstures I have seen but I just can't seem to find it anywhere, I am almost about to give up..

From the description you made i guess you are looking for Groboto, an Organic Art application. You will find it at http://www.braid.com

Been quiet there for some time, no updates or anything, but if you are lucky it is still available for purchase.
