Hi, I am new to this forum and have been very impressed with the quality of responses in this forum.
I have many nurbs models in Softimage that need to be merged into one model and are currently comprised of multiple patches broken at the joints.
1- Is the best method to convert everything to polys and use subd to render? I have tried to use surface continuity with limited success.
2-Is there a method of merging polys or nurbs where they overlap? I am looking for something that computes the intersection of models, merges at those points and generates a smooth surface continuity.
3- After conversion to polys what is the best method of merging the parts?
