Splutterfish has announced that it is able to easily render 150 million faces on a dual pentium-3 550 Xeon with 1 Gb of ram, and it renders fast.

As cinema is known for being able to handle big scenes quickly, could C4D match Brazil now?

it better render fast with a XEON.

What I'd like to know is, when is Exluna Entropy going to plug into Cinema http://www.exluna.com

you want exluna's Ratracng Montecarlo rendering abilities or is Reyes support, we are only missng the Reyes ability. and Even Renderman is acknowledging the speed of computers being able to handle Raytracing and GI. I hve no interest in C4D supportigna ny other renderers really.

as for brazil, I don't know from what I have seen of much simpler scenes it seems slower, but who knows maybe this is where its advantage is, in poly handling and large scenes

There's a pretty extensive thread on the Postforum discussing this. Darf is even threatening to recreate the feat in Cinema!
