Hi all,

I repost my car, the thread was lost because of the forum's database crash some time ago, this give me time to rework my composition.

So here is a Gillet Vertigo, a belgian supercar (top speed 300 km/h, 0=>100km/h = 3.226 sec).
The model presented here is the last one, the : Vertigo "Streiff"

well modeld car, but I don't like the front... it looks somehow odd :shrug:

and you should work a bit on the reflections, the car does not really fit in the scene... but as sayed modeling is great

can you explain what's wrong with the reflections ?

The "real" reflections on the "real" car are (nearly) the same that those on my model.

So where is the problem ?
I need to know it to fix it.
Please explain :bowdown:

Modelling and concept quite good. Not at all about paint and reflections.
Try to make renderings like those in promotional illustrations: i mean with "curve plane" on the back

I think the car paint itself matches the original background pic, but the wheel rims and the headlights don't. Focus on them a little more. The wheel rims should be more metallic (kind of plasticky right now) and the headlights should be more shiny glassy (kind of diffuse right now).

Maybe the gamma correction shoul be the help for you saturated colours on the carpaINT

I like your composition, how did you do , take the "porsche" disappear from the background picture..........could you teach me? thanks!

And about the render, the specluar position of your car is match the origin picture, but the reflection, you know, I mean the realistic reflection isn't little good, maybe you can use HDRI to rerender again......

Great work!

I think the main problem is the shader/lighting combination of your scene, it gives a carbon fiber, very rough especially on the hightlight areas. Try to fix that and I think you will have a great looking car, despite the fact that at 300km/h it will probably loose those mirrors since they stick out too much!

Modeling is ok. It's fairly clean. The rendering could use a lot of help, and the car...well...no comment. Overall good job.

Yes, if you look at the original picture, you'll see the spec on the real car is very high, whereas yours is very dull, that's why it immediately hits your subconscious that 'something is not right about this picture'
The tyres are also unrealistically textured, and the shadow under the car is not dark enough. It may be the same shadow from the original pic, but in the original pic, it's contrasted sharply against the silver car, which makes it look darker.
