View Full Version : Best Training DVDs for 3DS Max?
highpoly 06-03-2004, 08:57 PM I was wondering if anyone knows of the best training DVDs out there for an intermediate Max user, especially for advanced nodeling and animation. Not so much all the bells and whistles of Max 6, per se......
thanks!

Dunno if this helps, but lostpencil have a few training series. You could try and check them out.

There are some good books on the subject, not as easy as watching viddies, but free to read at your local book store!
Just look for advanced nodeling {sic} and animation in the graphics section!

Check out your local Library. you can then borrow some books for free. then if you can see if the books any good before actually buying it.
As for training DVD's... I heard 3dbuzz released some DVD's witha special edition of UT2004. They're all about UT modding, but part of the modding process is animating, and modelling. I saw one of the modelling ones last year, was really damn good.
Those DVD's cover MAX and Maya, but everything they do, you can pull off in your program of choise.
Added bonus, you get UT2004, haha.

no, its not in the 3dbuzz sections, hehe.
UT2004 = Unreal Tournament 2004
you can find the list somewhere on
www.masteringunreal.com
but I *think* they might have all sold out. can still buy off amazon. Shite, if I had me a credit card I'd have gotten it by now, hehe.
But these are all about game modding, and dont focus specifically on teaching you MAX, more teaching you... well.. game modding.
