Ok, here is the image i want you to see first:

Is there a way to create that same falloff effect in XSI? For instance, i want the paint to go from white to grey and such.
Can anyone help me out? Also, is there a way to create noise in XSI? You know that metallic paints have that noise in them. How do i make that in XSI?

I need some serious feedback on this one, please.

Well you can control the specular by piping a phong through a gradient and layering it onto another phong (with no specular of it's own) but that probably won't get you the same kind of look. Mainly because what you are seeing in the pic is not a simple specular, it's a blurred reflection and should be simulated as such in XSI for the nicest look.

I guess you could still use speculars with area lights to get the nice broad specular, but you should experiment to see if it works for you.

Do you think that using Final Gathering would help anything?

With a HDR map for lighting/reflection, it should be fine. Also you can use dirtmap along with it to get the contact shadows.

you could use a incidence node to drive the weight of a mixer with the 2 desired colors.
