Really nice work!! Though, if you went for the gorialla look, the chin is somewhat long... but it still looks awsome!

Beautiful work. Some hair would make him look a lot more like a gorilla IMHO.

Thanks for your interesting comments!
I hope I will get some stars for this work...
Thats true It doesn't look really like a gorilla, but look the title : Gorillaman, its not really an entire gorilla ;)
Thats true, that with more fur, it will look more like an animal...
All comments welcome!!!!!!

Something's wrong with the composition.
Moon and stars -- darkened blue sky -- gorillaman
It looks like 3 layers, not at all blended together.
You can see stars through the clouds, something's wrong, should work on that.
The creature looks pretty cool to me; some hair would indeed be an improvement I think.

Okay, I note it! I'm working on the picture actually.
But I liked to see stars threw clouds, I didn't thought it was a mistake..
I will see with less tranaprency, and glow on the moon...

hi there, thats awesome modelling there, and very nice zbrush work...
quite nice also the composition with the moon & sky...
guess you alredy thought of this, but for that image it will be great if he showed his fiercy teeth opening his mouth...
06-05-2004, 01:14 PM
Ehhh... In fact I didn't thought of showing his tooth, but your right! Its a good idea!
I Will work a bit more on the picture to put wome glow around the moon, and reorient the head in the coreect direction to the light...
If I have time and courage, I will try too put tooth..
Thanks for the idea! ;)

Gorillaman is cool, looks like a prehistoric human. Like the textures on him.
Some suggestions -
- some sparse hair/fur on chin and crown wud be cool.
- the moon looks like a pic taken from space. From earth, moon always has a glow around it[halo] and is not so sharp.
- the background looks like a day scene darkned in PS, in actual night scene the clouds wud have different highlights and sky will be of different hues.
- his eyes are not really looking at moon [but i m not sure about this]

I'm not so sure about the skys, but all your comments are very helpfull.
I made background in 45min.
I will work on it , with the help of your interesting comments.
Thanks a lot!

I've updated the picture.
The background has a bit changed, I've put leaves infront of moon, and glow around it, for better integration.
The light on the head, hower its not correct, hasn't changed, to keep more details on the face.
I try to tuen the head to look the moon, but we wouldn't have seen anything, and the main subject of my work is this sculpt..!
I also add a bit more fur.
Clouds has also change to link with the moon too...

Ouch.. I've made this picture on my office pc, and I see now its too clears. defauts appear..
I will correct it soon

Ya the background looks much better now.....
But, now I feel he was better without hair....
[dont worry, thats my own creative methodology - mess up things, go back to start and mess up in other ways :p . So just move on.....]

HAHAHA! I won't modify it back dude!! lol
