View Full Version : moving uv's without moving texture
zundach 07-19-2002, 11:17 PM Can I move the vertices on a model without moving the texture behind it? I'm using a projected texture on the model and want to move its vertices so I can line up the lip vertices to the lip texture etc. Thanks.

ahh damn.. i meant the subject line to say vertices, not UV's. Let's say I cannot move the UV's. I'm projecting a picture on a model to map its texture and want to move the vertices to the corresponding place on the picture projected. The vertices for the lips moved to where the picture of the lips is projected for example. Then I can map out a good texture. Right now, though, when I move the vertices on the model the texture goes with it.
You could try to delete the history of the object, that should "bake in" the projection, and you would be able to move verts again
