I´ve done this drawing after work this evening, with my little wacom, it´s everything done in photoshop, no sketches, no tracer, no overpainted, just she and me. I´ll color it tonight.

It´s a small size version, only 16 colors gif format for more compression.
Buy a new wacom, buy a new life.

Nice!

I just got a Wacom recently. It definately helps int he painting department but when it comes to outlining or doing freehand drawings I'm hopeless. :(

What program do you guys find provides the most crisp lines and most control when using a Wacom?

Iam still waiting 4 the color. And BTW, have you seen a shrink about this impossible love affair of yours? And what type of Wacom is she?

ParanoidAndroid
Photoshop is far most flexible and best for detailed stuff. Painter is best for very expressive shit. But I've also seen people use those programms the other way around. Just see what feels best 4 U.

Seriusly, buy a wacom now! I´m gonna explode, there are just so much colors to choose, pencils, opacities, brushes, sizes, strokes, layer options, filters, scales, aaaargh! I´m in heaven! :scream:

This is what i´ve got so far, i´m going slow couse i don´t know what to do, so many possibilities.

This can change, cuz with phoyoshop a drawing is never finished.
Chausgambino, time doesn´t matters, you must taste the moment. :p
Paranoidandroid, i don´t have much experience, i use photoshop and i think i´ll never run off its posibilities. I also tried painter, but i feel it´s not as intuitive (the interface) as ps.
Jeroentje, my love is an Intuos2 A5 size, simply irresistible. Rtv, it´s the wacom power, i just hold the pencil.
I´ve learned an important lesson, it´s better to work with huge resolutions so you can use big pencils for little details. I´ll apply this on the next drawing.

hooly cow I need to get me one of those I bet you could do a little rotoscoping for animation maybe off a 3d renderd bunch of frames and then splice in classicle animation like a tron effect making the classicle animation take over the 3d in small patches somtimes ingulfing the hole seen.

wow that inspired me man.

hold on that seems kinda hard, to crazy.

Jeroentje, you´ve hurt my feelings, i just wanted to share my joy, and recommend you people to buy a powerful tool in order to develope your artistic side skills so you can merge your hand and your computer in the most intuitive way. And i´ve got a little comission for each tablet is sold but that´s not the point.
Boygonemad, great idea, perhaps i´ll try it (classic animationis very difficult and hard working).

Is a Wacom graphire2 4x5 worth getting if I can't afford higher?

Personally, I think anthing bigger is a waste of money.
And I also own an A3 piece of sh*t, wich is catching dust when I'm working with the G2.
