Great sketch and concept. Really answers the challenge brief well - rather than just machines attatched to a body for the sake of it, the machinery really enhances the collier.
Good luck with getting this finished...I look forward to the next posting:applause:
Paul: I will colour this in Painter.

The murky colour tones blend really nice with the theme you're depicting.
I'm liking it a lot.

Fab work!!
I'll agree with Shawn here... have you got any rough sketches or more detailed colour WIP that you can post? It'd be great to see some more details of your working process...
Can't wait to see it finished...

yep , cool . especially the smoke and light effects ,
great armosphere ! the white eyes on a person working
in a deep dark mine are a good touch too.
Also , I instantly started to imagine how he would work
with those tools in the mine.

He refuses to stand and pose for such a long time. He wants to work. So let him go and get everything he can mine in the underground.

Great Job, through the gritty texture and off-color and lighting you've made more of an emotional impact about this character and his job. Great detail work too! Good luck with the voting!
