View Full Version : Bodypaint 2/3ds max 6: Map Size Question

Hi all,

I've modeled a 35,000 poly character in max 6, and want to texture it with my new copy of Bodypaint 2. After some reading and exploration, I've figured out how to set up the model, throw it back and forth to the 2 apps, etc. I don't have a lot of experience with UVW texturing, but I know generally how it's supposed to go.

How large should the texture map for the character be, and do you guys usually break characters into pieces for texturing, or do you just use one big texture?
