CGTalk - Skylight question

I really like the skylight (direct illumination) option in Brazil. It really gives nices shadows and it's fast. But that's the only thing I use in Brazil. That's why I'm wondering if there is another (free) plug-in to get the skylight effect, because Brazil works fine, but the current maximum resolution is only 1024x768.
