Hi

I'm looking through the tutorials of the docs:

"Now it's time to load some motion onto our character. Go to the Clips sub-tab and open the Modify block. Using the File pulldown, load Compose_Advanced_MotionClip.mcp from the Scenes\Tutorials folder. On the Clip block, rename it to Dons_Dino. What you have now is a character with no motion, and a Clip with motion. In the next step you will tell the individual motions within the Clip which objects they should apply to."

but I can't find this modify block in Messiah. Does someone one where I can load these clips?!?!

thx

This does not work for me Carl. When working through the tutorial example mentioned with Messiah Animate 4.0, when in the 'Clip' sub-folder right-clicking on File does not have a 'Clip' option or allow loading that file type (*.mcp) :(

are u right clicking on the main file menu, the one where u load scenes from and objects, not the one in a compose subtab.

Yep, I'm right-clicking the main File tab.

The load dialogue lists the possible file types in alphabetical order. In the 'm' section only .mot and .mpj are available to me. If I cheat and select *.* to show all files the directory, although the motion clip is displayed, Messiah rejects it as an unrecognised file type if I attempt to load it :(

Maybe this is something specific to the demo version of Animate?

Guess I'll have to wait the delivery of the full version next week and then try again.

Anyway, many thanks for tying to help.

Thanks for posting the screengrab Carl.

Yes, it seems that the demo is crippled other than the Save option. There are no references to Clip options at all on my Load menu.

Working my way through the tutorials will have to wait until my full version arrives. Still I've LOTS more to do.

Thanks again.

I downloaded the demo just to see ... and yep ... it's crippled. No "Load Clip".
