Someone told me that all I could do is model scenery, and I couldn't model character for crap. :shame: :shame:
Well, here's my retaliation. Eat this.
Self portrait, face only. 3dsmax 4.2

Ah...How did you do the texture map so beautifully? Did you use any plugin or software other than 3ds max?

Seems to be a very accurate representation...(not that I have any points of reference.)

It looks very nice. Can we see flat shaded and wireframe?
The eyes aren't right though. They need to have some wetness to them.

thanks guys
I dont have the up-to-date wire shots on this computer since they're all at work, but I do have some that are pretty recent. Keep in mind I did a lot of tweaking to the model after these renders, so you will find tri's, etc.
bkeeper, the texture is half photo/half painting in photoshop. A photograph is NEVER enough :)

Like you said, it has triagles, but those are nice and tidy now? Good good. If anything, it is a little simplistic, like the texture is doing most of the work. Apart from adding a little detail and the fixed triangles, it looks good.

IMHO the skin is amazingly good. Please, please tell us how you textured, lit and rendered it. Please.
