I opened up a file, hit render, and noticed it was using old texture maps.
Upon looking at the file path, its pointed to a tga in the geometry folder. I know it was set to the sourceimages folder. I know how the tga's got to that folder.
the mtl generation when exporting a obj, duplicated the file textures, and places them with the geometry.
My question and reason behind this point, is there a way to turn off that automation in maya?
Why would it automatically change your paths? I've witnessed it searched when it cannot locate the files it points to, but this redirected a file from one working file to another without prompting.
is there something in the mtl file that will affect more than the obj?
thanks in advanced.
