View Full Version : morph target problem

has anyone come across this problem? When i pick a morph target that is a modified copy of my source object, the morph translates to one side while it is morphing. It performs the morph correctly, but it moves while doing it.

I've tried resetting the transform and scale, with no effect. I'm sure i've been going in circles and making the problem worse. :)

If anyone has seen this before, or knows of a solution i'd really appreciate it.

Thanks.

I'd guess that you made your copy by snapshot-ing the mesh while it was Skinned or Physiqued, and so the pivot point isn't in the same position on the copy as on the original (remembering that a mesh's pivot doesn't move when the mesh moves away attached to a skeleton).

What I think you did is offset the polygons for the mesh center while in subobject mode. So now when you morph everything translates. To fix this you have to have a good eye. First click align and align the morph target to the original. The morph target sould apear offset from the original since both centers will be at the same place but not the mesh. Then go in sub-object mode in the morph target and translate the polygons to fit with the original.

Hope this helps.
