View Full Version : Can I change the bone joint without affecting its descendents?
hey guys, I am a beginner. Sometime I need to change the model while the Ik has been set up. Therefore I have to change bone`s joint position, for example, I move the knee joint forward a little bit along z axis. it means I have to adjust all the descendents of this bone once again. Is there a function in Messiah which allows me change bone`s joint without affecting its descendents position? as far as known, we can unchain the parent relation temporarily and then set it back with child staying his original position.

I`ve ever tried before. it doesn`t work indeed as this picture represents. you will see when I move the end of a bone, its children position are changed. how can I keep their position still?
