Hi ppl!
I'm about to make landscape with grass in 3dsm 6.
I have created a big NURBS-ground with hills and stuff.
I have created small grass leaves (strands? straws? Whatever it's called) of a extruded spline and used Scatter Compund to the ground.
Questions:
1. Is there less memory used if I use Poly instead of NURBS to the ground?
2. Is there less memory used if I use Poly instead of an extruded spline to the grass itself?
Or should I use a Mesh? Or patch?
It will be more than 50.000 grass strands.
I've tried to use the Shag:Fur. It looked ok but I rather use the Scatter compund. Shag is not so stable on my machine.
/T
