has anyone used Maya with Windows xp?
if so, did you use Professional edition or Home Edition?

I have been using PLE of Maya (version 4.1 I think) and it works great in XP pro.

I just installed a while ago and I had to fix some stuff in my registry to get the ple to work I use pro too so I dunno... It could just be some of the wacky shtuff I do to my comp :)

The problem I am having with Maya and XP is if the internet connection is disabled Maya won't run. So if I am not plugged into the network Maya won't running.

The problem I have is that Maya is using my Wireless NIC card. So when XP is not in range XP seems to hide the NIC's internal number. This also happens with the 10/100Bast-T card.

I don't know if you can still get dongles for Maya. I would use Win2k but Dell doesn't support my notebook. Well, Dell would support it but Microsoft won't let Dell sell Win2k to non-buisness licenses.
