What’s the point of posting work that you did in 3 hours that’s not even good? Work on something that can actually improve your skills instead of doing robots. You also did not bevel any of the edges, very key in getting a good start in any mechanical model.

I beleive my optimus is good especailly for the time put into it and I HAVE posted multiple things in the WIP section , non mechanical models , as for the bevels , there was no need , what im using for reference is the g2 comic and the mini bust , which all have hard edges ,

if u dont like it fine , I respect that, but dont insult me
plus this is the first robot i have made/posted , i usually work with organic models

and im more then likely going to make him transform, something i havent done and something that WILL improve my skills .

thanks

Just a quick note about the bevel thing. I don't mean to team up on you, but no matter how hard an edge is in real life, its not as sharp as a 3D edge, thats why bevels are so important. It is one of the biggest mistakes people do when working in 3D. So again, EVERY edge should be beveled. Believe me, it looks tons better. You will get nice clean specular highlights. Give it a shot!
Don't stop modeling after 3 hours, stop when its finished.

Thanks , see thats helpful , telling me its god awful and offereing no helping tips is not helpful,
as for stopping after 3 hours , if everyone reads my first post carefully it clearly says

"took a total of 3 hours to make
it could use some more work , but i doubt ill spend any more time on it"

and just another note for the poster who said whats the point of posting work that u did in 3 hrs if its crap
well , I could post a sphere and 3 boxes if I wanted to ,

Bevels I will do if i decide to put anymore time into modelling him
I appreciate the tips on the bevelling
and if i do update it , I will post it up .
