Can anyone tell me why my Texporter maps are turning up missing half a polygon? (one triangle) Please see included image:
I had particularly follow the steps found in this tutorial from Jai Barnes (Tinyfly):
http://www.planetfortress.com/tf2models/tuto/tuto_Skinmeshing.htm
I also found useful the following tutorials on this subjects:
1. http://www.planetquake.com/polycount/cottages/pixelated/tut01.shtml
2. http://www.nmba18878.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/Tutorial%20unwrap.htm
Unfortunately I haven't got any answers from the authors :(

Kinda weird that its happening to all polygons. You could try reseting the xform or unifying the face normals.
Try turning backface cull off in texporter.
Not that it really matters, you can still paint over that unwrap aslong as the model exports ok.

Strange problem indeed.
This might be a bit simple, but does turning off 'backface cull' fix the problem?
I always use texporter with the settings: all edges, lines only, backface cull off, and a constant color (white).
That way I get a wireframe only template and I can use it in Photoshop as an overlay. The color thingies never helped me much.
Great script though!
Ooops!, I should have read the first answer :)

Well I happen to be a friend of T|nyF|y (he is working on the same game project as I am). So I'll ask him as soon as I get in touch with him.

Hi again,
Sorry I haven't been doing much at all towards this problem, is just that I'm busy reading the amazing Leigh's thread on texturizing [my most sincere respects and admiration to you Leigh ;) ], and also as for the UV Mapping I'm not following the same process as I did with that elephant, which involved detaching all the parts of the model to then make them face a chosen view port, etc, etc. This time I am learning the way explained at the Joan of Arc site ( http://mr2k.3dvf.com/tutorials/max/polygones/joan_of_arc/part04/part04_bases_01.htm ).
Thanks to Sadist, Marcel, and RagaMuffin for helping :)
Especial thanks to RagaMuffin for offering talking to Mr UV Maps himself: TinyFly ;)
