View Full Version : Show/Manipulate keyframe ticks within timeline

Hi,

is anyone aware of a way to show keyframe ticks right within the timeline (or even manipulate em there)? I've seen it on a bunch of other popular packages and like it.

What i did as a workaround for myself (cause i wasnt able to find any option that could activate this) is placing a one-lined dopesheet with ripple turned off right above the timeline, which gives me kind of the same funktionality, but wastes valuable screen space..

We use 3.5.1.

im realy hope that i get your point, i hope ill help.
click on the playback button, then click on dopesheet

if your looking of a way to display keyframes like in 3dsmax timeline, i dont think youll find that :rolleyes:

once more, im sorry if i didnt get your question right, ignore my messege if wrong :)

Pimeto, yeah, you obviously got me right, the max timeline (or same with maya) was what i had in mind.
I think i can live with my permanently opened dopesheet, i just wanted to ensure i dont miss anything ;)

XSI doesnt have the regular show keys on timeline like every other pacage.. Maya and Max for eg.

it is in my future goals to script and produce a timeline that has keys on it. cuz the dope sheet is just not the same

Xsifox, at least i know now that i'm not too stupid to read the manual :p would be great if you find the time once to produce such a new timeline (if avid doesnt do it themselves)..

i'm not deep into xsi development yet, i concentrated on the regular toolset for instance, switched not too long ago.. so i'm absolutely unable to customize anything myself at the moment.
