So i've been wondering if anyone knows of a file format that supports transparency better than GIF. I've been working with Flash and all my imported GIF's still have a bit of color around the end of the image that I want transparent. And it's making myhead hurt. Anyone got any suggestions?

You can use .tga or png files tthat accepte transparencie, but it depend on where to use them?!
don't know if explorer accept tga or png without plugins like quicktime.

hope it helps

PNG-24 can display 256 levels of transparency whereas gif can only do 1 I think. Flash is very friendly with PNGs. :>

on the other hand pngs are like jpegs with an extra transparency layer - which means the filesize is huge...
