"After seeing what director Robert Zemeckis and his ImageMovers production company are doing with The Polar Express, Warner Bros. has picked up another book which they hope to turn into a CG-animated film produced by Zemeckis. According to today's Variety, Warners and ImageMovers have purchased the movie rights to actor/writer Ian Ogilvy's forthcoming three-book series entitled Measle and Wrathmonk.

The filmmakers are reportedly planning utilize the same "performance capture" CG-animation technique which is used in The Polar Express, due out later this year.

The trade tips that Measle and Wrathmonk centers around "a young boy who, after his parents go missing, is sent to live with an eccentric uncle who turns out to be a crazy wizard. Before the kid knows it, he's been shrunk and banished to be a villager in the wrathmonk's toy train set.""
