Wow that looks just like my pet dog Rufus.....;)

Nice stuff. I would add a few geometry details aswell. What is the environment going to be like? Dark and scary, desolate?

WOW cool, I like the texture, love the look of it.....my only comment would be that it looks like a statue rather than a real beastie, possibly a bit too square to be real?

Love the skin though all the same!!:applause: :applause:

Thanks guys :)

Gareth you have ONE scary doggy......It must be like this at meal times {The dog} "Give me a biscuit right now! :D

I just tried a sea environment but it didnt look good enough.Damn the sea is tricky even with a plugin

Ya I thought about more geometry guys but I didnt want to overdo it.But I can see now it is blocky and does need some more work.

I think a desolate scary sort of sea cavern might be the go actually :)

Wouldnt you just love omni lights that rendered just as quick as a spotlight etc :) .....oh and the ability to be able to set an objects exclusion or inclusion to just the lights you select

Yeh, that would be nice eh! I have already suggested it on the Send up the Flares forum, run by Maxon....or Highsoft....

Oooh oooh fingers crossed then :D

I have lost count of the amount of times I have made a really good lightng rig for my model, but it sucks for the rest :hmm:

Heres the Beastie with more geometry and de kinda blockified :)

NICE!!! much improved over the first one :). Just out of curiosity did you set up your lighting with subsurface scatering in mind or did it just turn out with that look?

Thanks :)

Ya I suppose I did actually as I knew the kind of spec I wanted, and I also knew a good bump would enhance it,then I sorted out the light rig and did some test rendering.

The tricky part was stopping the spec blooming way out but still looking like it was wet.

I have also tweaked the rear flippers since the last shot as well.
