hey guys first of all I am new at this site. I took a couple of images of a project a did about 2 or 3 months ago and I thought that I should put them here to get critiques so that I could make better ones. Later

i can tell this is an early anim. in the future, use more geometry. a prison cell cut out of rock won't be perfectly sheer. use bumps and displacement. it looks very moody, very... dare i say, Diablo-esque? i like it, i don't know why, but it could be improved if you added more detail.

hmmm...nice...The fire laks something or is it my eyes:eek:

But the rare portion looks like the tunnel is ending there..(like its cutting there)..

Try adding some DOF in the rare:thumbsup:

hey guys thanks for your critiques. I appreciated. I think it true I need to add some more bumps. the picture already had some but I think that I should tweak the geometry some more so that the bumps look more realistic. Thanks again

That's off to a good start, deivys20 :)
But it's important to remember that you should never use bump maps to compensate for a lack of geometry ;)
In a case such as this, you would be better off actually modelling the rock chunks in a fair amount of detail.
Bump maps should only be used for very minor surface abrasions, not large physical changes in the surface...

But, like I said, this is off to a nice start - there is loads of potential for a lot more work in it though... Just go wild with details!!

the textures doesn't seem to have enough resolution.

texturing between your "wall" and "ceiling" doesnt seem to match up, prolly cause they are different surfaces. on a second look, it matches up somewhat.... eh. who knows. anyway, like everyone else has said, needs more geometry.

looks nice though :)
