Last one which I posted here is around 50 hours.
From that post I got many helpful comments.
So I keep doing this city.

Pardon my ignorance, but how were those lights made in the picture (the rays shining from the top left), did you do it in PS or is it possible to get it rendered straight from MAX?
Another question is to get that misty effect in objects that are very distant, like the buildings in the back, is ithat done in after production?
Awesome mood in the picture, it feels tangible.

:)

I am glad to anser your questions.
All the building are done in 3D.
Volumetric light can be simply done in Photoshop but
all the volumetric lights here are actual volumetric lights
in 3D Studio Max. There are 15 lights in this theme.
The only visual element which I added in photoshop is the cloud.
If you want to know more, please let me know.

Thanks.
I am going to add some "bird" animation in this city
, and when I finish that, I will post that. :D

This stage the birds are still low polygons and they don't have texture yet.

A basic idea that have been made again and again.
The end of one age and the beginning of one nwe age.

I try to show life not just about silent,
and show light not just drak.

Excellent work
That is a detailed image. I like the mood of the city. There is a dusky feeling.
It reminds me of a scene from the game DiabloII.
