View Full Version : Turn meshsmooth off in entire scene?
dvornik 07-16-2002, 11:05 PM Is there a way to turn meshsmooth on and off on all objects in the scene simultanuosly? I usually work with meshsmooth off on all objects to work faster but see all of them at the same time. I turn it on before rendering on each object individually - it takes too long.

You can set the meshsmooth to only apply in the render... just put your iterations in the 'render' settings, and leave the normal settings at 0.
For global control, there may be a script - but you could select all of your objects and apply the meshsmooth at once, that way you can control all of their settings at once, bit of a cop out - but only thing I can think of right now!
Hope this helps...

if you are using the same amount of iterations on everything, just select everything & apply the meshsmooth as AJ suggested. This will create an Instance of the modifier on all objects & if you turn one off, all will dissappear.

Great. Just what I needed. Now I even have 2 options. I guess I can use both in different situations. Thanks, guys.

There's also a script out there which can toggle all msmooths. Try scriptspot.com
