WOW, now this is cool! I don't know why, but while watching Shrek I always have a BIG smile in my face - I just LOVE the humour that Shrek brings into the CG World.
I personally think that Shrek will be a funnier Movie than "The Incredibles" - No flame here, it's just a personal opinion. I think Shrek 2 will be a big, big thing when it finally comes out and I'm really looking forward to that. I love how PDI/Dreamworks is dealing with the characters, how you're able to identify with the character one by another, it's really, really cool.
I mean, it's just the Making Of and I had to laugh out loud a few times - I already love some shots here... Awesome!
It'll be interesting to see if Shrek 2 manages to hook onto Nemos success and bring CG another step further!
I can't wait - I already know that I'll watch that movie several times and just have a good time at it! :)

the "making of" S2 book is out if anyone's interested. It's quite nice.
it goes for some 25-30$ (US) depending on where you get it.
It features Shrek and Shrek2.

350 KB for me hehe,and cool too.Thanx. :)
well, i am downloading at the moment,
maximum speed
for that "download-stopping" problem:
when u have internet explorer 6 and download it
with "save target as"
just cancel the download when it is stopping
and click once again on the same file
so when u start new it resumes at the last download...

Downloading in decending order (because getright added it wrong and I cannot be bothered changing it)..
So I've seen the last one, really nice work.. so they're using Global Illumination now, not faking it like I think they had to on the first. Computing power and PRman GI functionality this time around I guess. Glad to see many shots of Maya, animation and fluids in use, don't like seeing foreign programs because I cannot use that information as well. ;)

PDI does not use ANY PRman. They have there proprietary renderer.
whoaaa.... take it easy, phrankypoo - i'll take your word for it.
i think they've improved their skin shader quite a bit, and the g.i. is really helping the overall look of this film.
as far as a sequel goes - always harder to duplicate the freshness of the original, but this movie is pretty damn funny - i would say more jokes/less heart than the 1st, but still a great 10 bucks spent.
if only at some point i could hear shrek yell:
"HEEEED!!! PANTS!!! NOW!!!"
