Here is something I have been working on during what little free time I have had lately. :) I wanted to try and step into something a little more organic than what I'm used to doing. It was created using Max 5.1 and Brazil R/S; brought into After Effects for DOF and fog, then rendered out and touched up in Photoshop where a few more details were added.

Total time of completion: 20 hours

very nice! is there any chance of you posting some wire's? all i can add is mayby put some more highlights into your texturing, at the moment its all very green, mayby add some browns and yellows, but otherwise its a very good piece of work!:applause:

Maybe lighten up on the DOF a bit, or angle the background to have more of a gradient of blurriness - as it is now, there are two distinct parts to the picture, the face/tree/thingy and the back ground and the contrast is too high methinks.

Hey there,

Nice image. Love the grainy, distressed effect.

The post processing is very nice, it gives it an interesting look. The character itself is quite freaky. Good work with this still!

Thanks for the comments everyone. :) Yeah the DOF on the background may be a little overkill; but I wanted it to appear further back in the scene so hop-efully that's the way it comes across.

I will be posting a wire along with a tutorial for 3dtotal.com of how this process was done. It'll include the texturing, basic modeling and post processing of the scene.

cheers
