the lacquer finish is way too shinny to look like real wood. the wood underneath the finish usually has a warm glow, resulated from the depth of the finish. the wood should be darker more saturated and rich, and the grain on the hilight should be visible. the trim i would make a diffent wood. the curviture of the top pannel seems a little too flat. otherwise its alright.

But the real violin I have notice is that there should be a little more convex in both of the violin surface.
