Hi, new to the site and forum

I have posted this message before, but due to the hacking problem, I lost the thread before I could view the replies

Anyway I am trying to make a good Star Trek Scene on 3ds max 5 - and desperately need some help with some of the effects

Can anyone help with Star Trek Effects or know the location of any tutorials, especially for:

1) Energy Shield Effects (No.1 priority!!)
2) Phasers (Mainly glow effects)
3) Photon Torpedos
4) Warp Effect

Try these sites:

Sci-Fi Meshes (http://scifi-meshes.com)

Sci-Fi Art (http://scifi-art.com)

They should get you started and have forums dedicated to Star Trek and other space imagery, modeling, FX, etc.

And then once you've mastered that, try branching out on your own designs. Good luck, and have fun!
