The random scribbles on the face don't do anything for this....I'd leave those off if they're not descriptive.

I like the use of shade and coloring on your pic, because the sketch is so simple and it adds a lot to it and still leaves the picture loose and kind of sketchy.
I do agree that you should loose some of the lines on the neck and chin they don't seem necessary.
You may want to check out this Al hirschfeld sight if you like line art portraits. Al was the master of charecture, (not sure if that is spelled right) he did pics of all the famous movie stars from the 20's to the present in the New York Times Theatre review and pretty much created the style cartoon that is popular famous with movie reviews.
Al Hirschfeld once said, "the way that you can tell if a line drawing's composition is correct is: if you can't remove a single line from the picture with out destroying the entire look it." His philosophy made every line count. The man was a bad ass, you should check his stuff out.

hey thanks for the info................i actually took bmunchausn advice and got rid of some lines' i'll post some pics up as soon as i can
