Very nice so far, I will be watching this one - I am doing about the same thing with a Toyota Supra (link below).
I am doing a MOD for a game and will be doing the Supra, Skyline, RX7 and the NSX. The WIP I posted will have to be redone - it's too detailed for the game have to redo it with less polys.

i love your 350z! so far it's really nice. i'm still learning how to do 3d modelling, can you give some tips on how you do your sideskirts?? i'm having trouble making them...

Thanks CarToyz. I took a look at ur supra and made some comments. I find it very hard to keep the poly count low especially when ur trying to model every little detail. This is only my second car so there's probably a way to use less polys and still have high level of detail

Thanks Kazumi. I left the skirts to the very end of the process. All i can say is pictures pictures and pictures! lots of references from different angles. The Nismo kit wasn't too hard to make. I used one side view image to line up the measurments. Maybe u can post some images of ur car to see what is wrong.
Here's what the car looked like before i added the extra parts.

After hours of searching I've finally decided on a set of rims! And after hours of pain staking modeling here it is!

Looks much better - but I think the tire/rim as a whole may be too narrow for this car - might want to make it wider, meaner looking...

Here's a small update. Added the brake disc and caliper. The caliper had to be done free hand because i couldn't find a decent picture =( if anyone has blueprints for them please let me know! it doesnt look right.
